DATA PROCESSING POLICY

At Horus Doctors, we understand that trust and the security of personal information are fundamental pillars of our relationship with patients, doctors and allies.
The purpose of this Personal Data Processing Policy is to inform the owners about the use, handling and protection of the personal data that are collected, stored and processed through our international medical platform and other communication channels.
The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and other applicable regulations on the protection of personal data in Colombia, as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for international users.

- Data processor: Person or entity that performs the treatment on behalf of Horus Doctors.
4. Principles of treatment
The processing of personal data is governed by the principles of legality, purpose, freedom, truthfulness, transparency, restricted access and circulation, security and confidentiality.
5. Data collected
From patients or users:
Name, email, country, city, language, telephone number and voluntarily provided health information.
From doctors or specialists:
Name, profession, specialty, entity, country, city, email, experience, certifications, professional photograph, languages and contact details.
Browsing data:
Cookies, IP address, approximate location, website behavior, usage statistics and preferences.
6. Purposes of processing
- Manage the doctor-patient relationship on the platform.
- Create and manage professional and user profiles.
- Verify identity, experience, and medical credentials.
- Send information about requests or inquiries.
- Comply with legal and contractual obligations.
- Analyze statistics for continuous improvement of the service.
- To carry out commercial and educational communications with prior consent.
7. Data processing for communication, marketing and loyalty purposes
Horus Doctors may use the personal data of users, doctors and patients – with prior express authorisation – for the purposes of informative communication, responsible marketing and medical education, including:
- Sending personalized information about medical services, new specialists, and platform updates.
- Dissemination of educational content and health articles through the blog and digital newsletters.
- Invitations to webinars, events and loyalty programs.
- Satisfaction surveys and statistical studies to improve the experience.
- Special promotions or benefits, exclusively for those who give their consent.
The owner may revoke his/her authorization to receive promotional communications at any time by sending an email to [email protected] or by clicking on “Unsubscribe” in each mailing.
All marketing actions will be carried out under the principles of transparency, relevance and respect for privacy, in compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 and the GDPR.
8. Rights of the owners
- Know, update and rectify your information.
- Request proof of the authorization granted.
- To be informed about the use of their data.
- Revoke the authorization or request the deletion of the data.
- File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) for violation of the law.
9. Procedure for exercising rights

10. International data transfer and transmission
Horus Doctors may transfer or transmit data to other countries when:
- The owner has expressly authorized.

- Contracts are in place with processors that guarantee adequate levels of protection (e.g. GDPR clauses or countries with equivalent levels).
11. Security and confidentiality
Horus Doctors adopts technical, human and administrative measures that guarantee the digital medical security of the data, preventing its unauthorized access, loss or alteration.
All collaborators and partners are subject to confidentiality agreements and ethical commitment.

This policy is effective October 17, 2025.

Horus Doctors collects personal information through the following forms available on its website and other authorized means:

- “Plan your trip” form: to organize medical tourism services and logistical accompaniment.
- “Join as a specialist” form: to register doctors, clinics or IPS interested in joining the Horus Doctors network.
- General Contact Form: to receive inquiries, requests, or comments.
The data provided in these forms are used exclusively for the purposes described in this policy, with the informed consent of the owner.
Likewise, Horus Doctors uses WhatsApp as an official channel of contact and personalized attention, through which users can communicate directly with the support or medical coordination team. All information shared by this means will be treated with the same confidentiality, security and under the rules established in this policy.
